Yesterday was quite the adventure! We headed up to Bristol, expecting a straight forward 2-hour drive, but it turned into a 5-hour ordeal thanks to heavy traffic. Still, we were determined to make it in time for the Bristol Bears vs. Sale Sharks game. Unfortunately for the Bears, it was a brutal match—final score: Bears 0, Sharks 38. Ouch!
Our day took a delightful turn, though, when we checked into our hotel and discovered that our rooms had been upgraded! We were moved to the executive floor, and let me tell you, the room was absolutely lush. A little bit of luxury was just what we needed after the stressful journey.
After the game, we wrapped up the night with a pizza, a gin, and a beer—because why not? The pizza was divine, the perfect comfort food to end the day.
Today, we made our way home, and thankfully, the return trip was much smoother. The journey took just over 2 hours, including a 20-minute stop to recharge the car and splurge on goodies for the pup at Pets at Home.
Once I got back, I was greeted by a couple of Amazon parcels. Inside were some exciting new items for my next challenge. Lately, my TikTok feed has been flooded with hiking videos, and I can’t help but feel inspired to get back outdoors. Fresh air, stunning views, and exploring new places—who knows where this journey will take us?
It’s been a long couple of days, so I’m signing off for now. Time to rest up and dream about the adventures ahead. Night all!
